Deidre Christenson-Main
I'm Deidre, founder of Reset Route Coaching — and before I was a coach, I was exactly where you might be right now: overwhelmed, exhausted, and feeling like I'd lost myself.
After over twenty years in Special Education, including several years as a Principal Teacher heading up an Additional Support Needs Department, I was juggling a demanding career with a body that was quietly falling apart. Years of Endometriosis pain and a punishing work-life balance led to high inflammation, a major flare-up, extensive surgery, and eventually a hysterectomy. The immediate early menopause that followed triggered severe anxiety and depression. Then an emergency appendectomy left me with an open wound for months — and the pain reached a level I hadn’t known was possible.
An assault at work made things worse. More adhesions, more cysts, and then a new and frightening symptom: limb weakness and bone-deep exhaustion from doing practically nothing. It turned out the accumulated trauma had triggered Functional Neurological Disorder.
Through all of it, the common thread wasn’t just pain — it was anxiety and overwhelm. The sense that my body, my mind and my life were no longer mine to steer.
Retraining as a Health and Life Coach changed that. Going through the coaching process myself gave me back my confidence, calmed my anxiety, and reduced my pain — and it showed me exactly the kind of support I want to offer other women navigating midlife.
I’ve spent years coaching privately in chronic pain, weight loss, career and relationships, and it’s been an honour to watch clients reach goals they weren’t sure were possible. Now I focus that experience specifically on women in midlife who are dealing with anxiety, overwhelm, and the physical and emotional upheaval that so often comes with it — whether that’s menopause, weight loss or simply the impossible goal of trying to do it all.
I built my program on the same evidence-based approach that helped me: real, research-backed strategies, not vague reassurance. I take the practical tools that changed my own life and adapt them to yours.
I am on a mission to help women who feel overwhelmed, broken, or in crisis — whether from menopause, chronic pain, or the relentless pressure of midlife — take back control. To help them manage their symptoms, listen to their bodies, rebuild their confidence, and find their way back to themselves in their health, mindset, family, work and relationships.
I see you. I’ve been you. I can help you.

While working with Deidre I felt more in control. When I thought I'd had a rough week, we'd review it together and she'd help me see it had actually been a good one. My family and friends noticed I was happier and more positive. I survived my first week back at work with barely any pain for most of it. I realised it takes baby steps to get to the big picture, and patience to heal. I'm not in the same place I was. I honestly thought coaching would be a bit "airy fairy" — but I got real benefits every single week. I can't believe how far I've come.
